Overview
Set during a sun-scorched twilight of civilisation, No, I’m not a Human throws you into a tense, first-person survival drama: people knock at your door seeking refuge from a lethal daytime heat, but not every face is human. Some are Visitors — creatures that crawl out from underground and masquerade as people. The game trades jump scares for creeping moral tension: every choice to shelter or slay reshapes the story.

Core Gameplay

  • Each playthrough is slightly different thanks to procedural/random generation — the roster of guests and the clues you can use change between runs.
  • Daytime is for interrogation and inspection: the game gives you a short checklist of signs to help identify Visitors (examples include white teeth, dirty fingernails, bloodshot eyes, lack of body hair, anomalies in aura photos, and other oddities). After checking, the game will aim a gun at the suspect and you decide the outcome.
  • An energy mechanic limits how many checks you can perform each day; consumable food items change that energy, letting you extend or hasten the day phase.
  • Nights bring consequences: Visitors left alive will murder sheltered humans, while refusing everyone risks other game over conditions (including visits from hostile intruders if you isolate yourself indefinitely).

Narrative & Tone
The story is intimate and morally ambiguous — paranoia is the central theme. You constantly weigh imperfect signs against the possibility of killing innocents. Multiple endings reflect whether you over-kill, let too many Visitors inside, or barricade yourself and let outside events unfold.

Notable Details & History

  • The game first appeared in an anthology release (Violent Horror Stories) in 2024 and later had a more polished demo in mid-2025 before a full Steam release.
  • It leans heavily on atmosphere and player choice rather than combat or exploration; the tension comes from uncertain information and the social/interrogation loop.

Why play it?
If you like psychological horror that tests moral reasoning and rewards careful attention to small, ambiguous clues, this title delivers a compact but memorable experience — short sessions that still leave you thinking about your decisions.
